Lightfields

As a cinematographer and 3D artist, Iā€™m interested in using new technologies to create beautiful new genres of art. Lightfield and volumetric displays present an evolution of stereoscopic filmmaking and 3D art, so this page showcases my foray into the world of lightfields.

Doors of Berlin

This photography series called ā€œDoors of Berlinā€ where I captured unique and diverse doors and building facades of the neighborhoods of Berlin. Each door is made of photogrammetry 3D model and showcased as a lightfield array on a Looking Glass display.

Drone Lightfield arrays

While shooting stereoscopic drone shorts (Youtube series), I realized I could also use the same source footage to create lightfield arrays to be showcased on Looking Glass displays.

TUMO Volumetric Filmmaking Class

In 2019, I led a volumetric filmmaking class for highschoolers in Yerevan, Armenia using drones, RealityCapture, Unity, and Looking Glass displays. Four teams of four created 60 second min-documentaries about various places of interest around the city.
